Peedi Crack - Fall Back (Random Rap Week pt5)
Roc-A-Fella - 2003
I got this radness in a package full of white lables from The Roc in early 03. I remember that it had promo's of this, Young Guns Can't Stop Won't Stop and another that was Beanie Sigel ft Jay-Z. They were all dope and I remember thinking "Roc-A-Fella's gonna be alright." Dame and Hov split a month later. I was hyped to play it because it sounded so much like Oochie Wally and all the indian sounding shit was blowing up at the time. I shoved this down their throats at Cheetah's but it never really caught on. It still hype's me as so much Philly rap does.

Ma$e - Stay Out Of My Way (Random Rap Week pt4)
Bad Boy - 1999
I remember that this was in the first package I ever got from Bad Boy. I remember that he's rapping over Justify My Love. I remember that Ma$e Murda kills it with verses of fire. I remember that the hook is kinda wack. I remember how bad this whole album sucked. But most importantly, never underestimate how much I remember that I Love Ma$e.

QNC - Repertoire (Random Rap Week pt2)
Gee Street - 1999
QNC was Q-Ball and Curt Cazal. This 12" was released in association with D&D Records and is one of many late 90's, early 00's releases form the D&D camp that basically was a sad Premo imitation... Regardless, it sounded good to me in college and Funk Flex played it for like a week.
FUN FACT: Curt Cazal was the DJ from JVC-Force.

Lone Ranger - It's Yours (Random Rap Week pt1)
Walis - 1998
I'll be posting some very random rap everyday this week. Yay!
Q-Tip put this out in 1998 under the name Lone Ranger. It's a dope cover of T La Rock's It's Yours with that distinct Ummah flavor.

Freeland Does Mexico...
I totally forgot to tell you fuckers about how Adam Freeland's super spicy Global Underground Mix dropped a couple weeks back. It's a double disc with CD1 being a voiolent dance volcano with tracks by Justice, Phones, sebastiAn etc. CD2 takes you to that droned out spot you first dicovered half way through high school with trippiness by Prins Thomas, Fujiya & Miyagi, even a smoove re-edit Adam did of The Silversun Pickups, nah mean. It's bursting at the seam's with hot new shit (some of which yours truly helped pick out!), original tracks and slick edits. It's basically my car stereo's best friend. Introduce it to yours, or if don't have a car then I don't know, I guess your screwed.

I figured I needed to start a weekly concept post. here it is. THE WEDNESDAY B-SIDE. I'll put up a dope Side B every weds from here on out. Get excited!
I figured I'd start with one of my recent favs. The Something Likes is the B-Side for A Bit Patchy, the mega hit we all know and love. The Something Likes is more of a tracky number with some very Sneaky influences. or at least that's what i hear. It bangs in the club to boot.

DJ Trident (pictured above with his brother Ari) as you may well know, is my partner in The Knish Hit Squad. He got crazy this week and made this totally dude-ical bloghouse mix. I said "you must share this with the people!" He said, "chuuch." And that man's name was Eli Whitney. Enjoy.

Daft Punk Is Playing At My House...
... or at least pretty damn close to it and really soon too. It's so fucking on. This really hit me yesterday at the LCD Soundsystem show when they performed that very track. James Murphy was all "...my house-eh, my house-uhh..." and I was all "dude, you don't even know!"
Here's a much coveted bootleg mix that Soulwax did.
Soulass from Bootleggers With Respect
I can hardly beleive I gave y'all that... In the word's of DJ Cobra "I just birthed you." I know sounds gross.
And here's an edit I did of Indo Silver Club.
