Yesterday, as usual, Eli Esco and I were discussing lower level Wu affiliates Dark Skinned Assassins. That led us to Pop Da Brown Hornet, who I've always really liked. He's got a great voice and strong delivery and made some rad songs. Here's the B-Side to the classic Black On Black Crime, which is one of the best indie rap 12"'s of the 90's, as per Eli.
*** I just noticed that the second verse is definitely dude from Dark Skinned Assassins... what a full circle!

I then was digging through the P's for that 12" when I came up on Pop Megga's Ghetto News 12" from the same year. It uses a loop from Jane's Addiction's Ted Just Admit It and is produced by Casanova Rud!
